Cards for Queen Kat DT Challenge

Here are my entries for the Queen Kat Design Team Challenge. We had 3 challenges this weekend to complete. And I was able to do all 3. The first card is the "I'm late, I'm late" challenge. I needed to create a belalted card using the color orange. The second card was based on a sketch and the third was an Easter challenge using an easter stamp, an eyelet and a ribbon. I hope you enjoy them. I had a blast making them.

The letters are from Adorn It and the paper and die cuts are from Cosmo Cricket. It's super easy to make. Just paint the wooden letters, trace them unto the paper and then mod podge them on the wood. The Japanesese Doll Festival (雛祭り, Hina-matsuri), or Girls' Day, is today, March 3!


Traditionally,
platforms covered with a red carpet are used to display a set of
ornamental dolls the represent the Emperor, Empress, and royal subjects
in traditional attire.
The custom of displaying dolls began because people believed that dolls were able to trap bad spirits. Straw hina
dolls were set afloat on a boat and sent down a river to the sea,
taking troubles and bad spirits with them, and helping to protect the
safety of children.
